I’m trying to scroll to the bottom of a HTML document from a certain HTML tag.
I’ve tried a few different ways, and most of them don’t work, unless I scroll to the bottom of the page.
For example:

However, if I try to go to the bottom of the page from the top, the animation doesn’t work, unless I scroll to the bottom before going to the top.
I’ve also tried:
$(‘html,body’).animate({scrollTop:$(‘.myTag’).offset().top},’slow’);

without the ‘$’ before the function name, but it doesn’t work either.
I’ve also tried adding an extra 0 value to the top, but that also doesn’t work.

Rather than using an in-page timer to fire the event, use an external Javascript file to fire the event.
In your myScript.js file, attach an event listener (e.g. onclick=”myFunction();”) to the HTML tag you want to scroll to the bottom of the window. This script will start automatically as the page loads.
In myScript.js, use a callback (e.g. myFunction) to execute whatever code is needed to complete the scroll operation:
